So You're Having Photos Taken...
Newborns* Congratulations! Newborns are best photographed within the first 10-14 days of life. This is when they are the most sleepy and squishy. I recommend doing a feeding 30-40 minutes before I arrive, and having them in just a diaper. That allows me to disturb them less and get right to work on posing and photographing them. The room should have a large window or sliding glass doors for maximum natural light, and be very warm. If the adults are sweating, baby is comfortable.
Seniors* Your session will be about an hour long, and includes 2-3 outfit changes. Feel free to accessorize as you'd like - letter jackets, jewelry, cowboy boots, etc. I recommend trying to avoid shirts with stripes or large logos on them. Most importantly, be yourself! Have fun with it :)
Families* See the link below for tips on how to dress for photos. I recommend avoiding matchy-matchy, opting instead to pick 2 or 3 coordinating colors to use throughout all of your outfits or accessories. Annie at Paint the Moon has a great blog post (with photo examples) of how to color coordinate and layer.
